GAY VALIMONT
Gun violence prevention activist
Gay Gillespie Valimont is a Pensacola mother, healthcare professional, and dedicated advocate whose path to public service has been shaped by both her career and her lived experiences. After working in sports medicine with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory Sports Medicine, she was inspired to take action on gun violence after hearing the concerns of the young people she worked with. That commitment led her to Moms Demand Action, where she rose to lead the organization in Florida, dramatically expanding its reach and influence. In the face of unimaginable personal loss in 2020, Gay returned to Northwest Florida and transformed her grief into purpose—building a grassroots movement and running for Congress on a platform centered on safety, compassion, and accountability.
